Kestrel helicopters utilizes both the MD500D and the Astar BA.

 With it’s speed, 1200lbs lifting capability and able to maneuver in confined areas, the MD500 is a very stable platform working in any environment. Whether pulling sock line, moving fallers or dropping geologist on a steep scree slope, the MD500 has been the  workhorse of the fleet for Kestrel Helicopters providing a cost effective aircraft for our customers.

 The  Eurocopter Astar BA with a large 5 place interior 135 mph cruise and 3 hour range is a favorite for moving personal  in comfort. It is capable of carrying a large internal load and it has a external lifting capacity of 1700lbs.
